About Us
The Wakefield Parent Partnership is the brainchild of Anne Danehy, a Galvin Middle School parent.
Danehy approached the Galvin PTO last year with the idea, and conducted a survey of Galvin Middle
School parents to determine interest in a lecture series, as well as in specific topics. The response
was overwhelmingly positive, with 98% of parents saying they would be very to somewhat likely to
attend a lectures on relevant parenting topics. Middle school development issues, substance
abuse, peer pressure and computer internet use were at the top of the list of interests.
The lecture series was made possible by donations from Wakefield School PTOs and a grant from
the Wakefield Education Foundation. If you did not purchase season tickets for all three lectures,
tickets are $7 per lecture in advance, $8 at the door.
