Dr. Bryson's book, The Whole-Brain Child, co-authored with Dr. Dan Siegel, gives parents practical ways to transform difficult moments (like tantrums) into opportunities for children to thrive. In addition to writing and lecturing around the world, Dr. Bryson is an expert at helping parents demystify the meltdowns and aggravation children face by helping to explain the science behind how a child's brain is wired and how it matures over time. She has been featured on Good Morning America, NPR, and in Redbook Magazine. Her work fits perfectly with Massachusetts Brain-Building in Progress campaign.
Dr. Tina Payne Bryson is a school counselor, as well as a psychotherapist at Pediatric and Adolescent Psychology Associates in Arcadia, California, where she sees children and adolescents, and provides parenting consultations. In addition, Dr. Bryson serves as the Director of Parenting Education and Development at the Mindsight Institute in Los Angelos, CA, an educational center founded by Dr. Dan Siegel that is devoted to promoting insight, compassion, and empathy in individuals, families, organizations, and communities. With a scientific emphasis on the mind and well-being, the Mindsight Institute focuses on the growth of healthy people who can nurture a kinder society.
